Just thought i would let you know that i got your book yesterday,and i love it. I am on page 42 and I am having trouble putting it down, it is fascinating. I want you to know I really look up to you. I have been skydiving twice now, and hope to get my liscense this summer, I live in Wisconsin and its cold as shit right now. I would love to someday try base jumping. Youre a real inspiration, maybe someday Ill be able to meet you.

I read your book. I finished it in under a week. got to the end n my first thoughts were, Shit I read a book in less than a week, FUCK Doougs wrote a book. Very nice work mate I thoroughly enjoyed the the journey, thank you for sharing so much of you life.
I remember asking you what I thought were two intelligent questions, which you answered exceptionally well.1, how do you describe that point where time slows down? If you do write that down pls. send me a copy or a link so I can buy the book.
2, How do you deal with grief? I remembered the answer to that one better as it was something I needed to take on board. You did cover it well in your book, as I thought you could, I do think of you among other things as my friend that has had to deal with more grief than any one else I know. But I spose you can get that when you go as hard as you have n pursue the dream for that long.

Cookie rocked up at Toogs DZ on the weekend with a stack of your books. Then it rained and rained so everywhere you looked there were people reading it. Did it cover-to-cover myself in one day... very impressed mate. You fully bared your soul in public and that's a braver act than jumping off any object. Had to laugh about the old Shovels stories and nostaligia over my dear Baz (what are ya doing with your dick taped to the seat, you should be here with me using it for something else, I was thinking... haha).
Anyways, well done, and if you ever want to do a 'clean' version of the book for mass consumption (i.e. to wuffos, in normal bookshops) I'd love to hear from you. I reckon it's got huge possibilities.

We met at Bridge day a few months back. I was with my 2 buddies and my girlfriend from Canada, shootin the shit with you guys at the pop machines after jumping,for an hour or so havin some beers and many laughs. You gave us your card and we checked out you website which is very cool, and thats when I relized you were coming out with your book. Well my buddy got it for me for xmas and I had the book read in 2 days. It is by far the best book i have ever read! Now dont get me wrong... its probably the 5th book I have ever read in my life lol. But seriously, very cool man. I cant say enough about it.
